Three of my photographs were accepted into the Turnbull Gallery’s Double Exposure Photography and Poetry competition, running from March 31 to April 20, 2016. This event is part of Vancouver’s Capture Photo Festival, now in its third year.
These three photographs, Triptych 1: Mud, Swamp, Bag, form part of an ongoing photographic essay in the Surrey neighbourhood where I have lived for the past 20 years. Titled Rock Paper Scissors Arugula, this project began in January 2015, and is a personal exploration and meditation on change in South Surrey, all photographs taken within walking distance of home.
My Swamp image won 1st place in the Mobile Photography category.
